Arestin® (Gum treatment)
Gums are a very important part of our oral health, so it is vital to keep them healthy. If your gums bleed while brushing or flossing, or they are sensitive and red, you may have gum disease. Gum disease is the result of bacteria building up and causing irritation, eventually leading to infection. If left untreated gum disease could lead to very serious issues and even result in tooth loss. To treat this bacterial build-up we use a powerful antibiotic powder called Arestin® that is placed inside the affected area after a deep cleaning. This treatment does wonders to reduce the bacteria that lead to gum disease.
